RBC teams in Lexus Reading Dinton Duathlon

A field of more than 200 completed the first Lexus Reading Dinton Duathlon on Sunday 17th November, led home by Surrey triathlete David Chapman who finished in a time of 1 hour, 11 minutes and 10 seconds.

The sell-out race was centred around Dinton Pastures Country Park, in Hurst, near Reading, and comprised a 5.25km off-road run on trails through the park, a 20km bike ride on roads around Twyford and Hurst, and a second 5.25km run over the same park trails. The event was organised by Reading-based Barnes Fitness with Lexus Reading as headline sponsor.

The Reading Business Club put together two teams – sadly one was able to start due to injuries however the other team took their first race by storm finishing a very respectable 13th.  The team was made up of

5km first run leg – Chris Goslar, Conservatree
20km bike leg – Simon Drillingcourt representing Drummonds Lettings – a real power machine especially considering he was on a mountain bike with fat, knobbly tyres!
5km second run leg – Tracy Boulton representing Webster Consulting – fantastic time for someone who has never done a timed 5km run!
